Emotions inform Laura’s artistic practise, with each layer added to a piece, more of herself is learned and revealed. Inspiration for her latest body of work is drawn from past experiences, her current life and learnings from the environment around her. On a quest for spiritual growth, living in the present and living a life of gratitude she is inspired daily. Her ideas manifest as she works and transform into her individual style, she will usually not know the exact outcome until she has let it flow from her.
Many different mediums are used in the process to create Laura’s signature style of work, which is predominantly layered and worked upon over and over creating the depth she craves and desires. Acrylics, oil pastels, spray paints, markers are her usual materials of choice but she is not restricted to any single medium.
Laura’s belief of living your life in colour and full of love is expressed through her bold work with the use of strong colours. She continues to break free from stereotypes and traditions, breaking boundaries along the way.
Born in Kent, England, Laura’s passion for creating began when she was small. At school she excelled at Design, although Business was her subject studied at Cass Business School (now Bayes Business School) achieving a BSc; creating remained a part of her heart and she continued her passion at home.
After working in the city and having 2 children, self-taught Laura is now working full-time creating and is based out of her studio in London.
